Adding your signature to a document

Signing a PDF here means placing an image of your signature onto the page, at the position you choose, then baking it permanently into the downloaded file — the same visual effect as printing a document, signing it by hand and scanning it back in, just without the printer.

You can create that signature three ways: draw it with your mouse, finger or stylus; type your name and pick from a few handwriting-style fonts; or upload a photo or scan of your actual signature. Whichever you choose, you can save it on your device so it's ready to reuse next time, or use it just once and discard it — your choice, and either way it's never sent anywhere.

For multi-page agreements that need initials on every page as well as a signature at the end, the initials tool works the same way as the signature tool, kept separate so the two don't get mixed up.

How It Works

1

Open the PDF you need to sign

Upload the agreement, consent form or document — fillable or not, it doesn't matter for signing.

2

Create your signature

Draw it, type it, or upload an image. Save it for next time if you'll be signing more documents.

3

Place it and download

Drag your signature into position, resize if needed, then download the signed PDF.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a legally binding e-signature service?
No. This tool lets you place a visual signature onto a PDF, the same as signing a printed page. It doesn't verify your identity, doesn't add cryptographic certification, and doesn't guarantee legal validity — if you need a certified e-signature for a specific legal purpose, check with a qualified professional about what's required.
Where is my signature stored?
If you choose to save it, your signature is stored locally in your browser on your device only. It's never uploaded or sent anywhere, and you can delete a saved signature at any time.
Can I sign on my phone?
Yes — the drawing tool works with a finger or stylus on touchscreens, and the whole tool is designed to work on mobile.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. Every part of this tool — reading your PDF, letting you fill and sign it, and generating the completed file — runs in your own browser. Your document is never uploaded anywhere, and you don't need to create an account.

Before you rely on this for something important

FormFiller is a document editing and filling tool. It does not provide legal, financial, tax or immigration advice, does not check whether a form has been filled out correctly, does not verify signatures, does not guarantee legal validity of a signed document, and does not submit forms to any government agency, employer or other organization on your behalf. Always review your completed form carefully, and check with a qualified professional if you're unsure whether a document meets a legal or contractual requirement.
