Before interactive PDF forms existed, filling out a printed form meant rolling it into a typewriter and lining up each line by hand. A lot of PDFs today are still built the same way in spirit — a page of blank lines and boxes with no interactive fields behind them, expecting you to print it out and write on it.
This tool brings back the typewriter approach without the typewriter: click anywhere on the page — directly on a blank line, in a box, next to a label — and a text box appears, ready to type into immediately. Move it, resize it, or nudge it into perfect alignment with the printed line underneath, then move on to the next spot.
It works identically whether the PDF has real form fields or not, so you're not stuck figuring out which category a given form falls into before you can start.
